Jason E. Shirkey
The Man Behind the Wood
I’ve been in public safety for close to 30 years. I do woodworking part-time. I enjoy seeing the raw and or recycled wood come to life in a project. I am very particular about how a final project turns out.
I use kiln dried lumber and live edge slabs native to the Shenandoah Valley, unless otherwise requested.

I am a husband and proud father of three, a son, Justin, two girls, Leena and Jillian.

Custom Woodworking
I take each project one at a time. No mass production, and no subpar results. I have created everything from custom signs and badges to live edge tables and benches. I would love to talk to you about your next woodworking project to see what I can create for you.

Live Edge Ash Table
I built this live edge ash table using locally sourced Edinburg wood. The table legs were recovered from a 1950's school desk. I love to incorporate local and recycled materials whenever possible. Each piece I build tells a story and has a history.
